RIP Brother Hillbilly

August 20, 2025: There are times that the National Board must make posts we wish not to make, and today comes one of those posts. Early this morning one of our members, Highway Souls Brother Jacob Gentry Jr aka "Hillbilly" was taken from us, unexpectedly and suddenly.

For those not in the know, HSB Hillbilly was plagued with Testicular Cancer, battling it most of the early part of this year. In late May or June HSB Hillbilly learned the Cancer was in remission before discovering a few weeks ago the Cancer had metastasized to his brain. Despite recent trips to the ER HSB Hillbilly was able to stay light-hearted and upbeat until this morning when he finally succumbed to the Cancer.

A kind soul, he was a Husband, Father, Grandfather, and a Brother to all of us within Brothers of the Highway and HSB Hillbilly will be deeply missed by all. Please join us for a moment of silence, today, at 16:02 Central Time as we send our respects and remember our fallen Brother, HSB Hillbilly.
